What is needed:
New and gently used children’s books (infant through young adult). We are especially appreciative of books written by diverse authors and/or feature diverse characters; it is important that children see themselves in books as well as learn about others’ cultures. While we wish we could find a home for every book, we are not able to use textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, coloring books, etc.
And Literacy For All is a 501c3 local non-profit organization that distributes free books to children living in neighborhoods where access to books is limited. We distribute books through Free Book Boxes located in public parks, in front of schools, and near community centers as well as during Free Book Fridays in conjunction with Story Times in local elementary classrooms.
